Grape variety: Sangiovese
Vineyards characteristics: Vineyards situated in the Chianti area on medium-height hillsides with excellent exposure.
Vines planted in a moderately compact soil.
Vinification: Traditional method, in steel vats with floating caps for 15 days at a controlled temperature (30șC).
Refinement: An average of 12 months in large French oak casks before bottling, followed by a further refinement in the bottle for no less than 4 months.
Conservation: Up to 10-12 years, depending on the vintage.
Organoleptic characteristics: Fairly intense ruby red coloured wine, well balanced, elegant with a richly-toned bouquet.
Full and firm flavour with the right amount of tannin.
Recommended serving temperature: 18-20șC
Serving suggestions: Excellent with roast red meats, game and poultry.
